Ashley Furniture is the worst store there is and they don't care about customer satiosfaction and they do not deliver quality products
I purchased a bed from Ashley furniture and when they deliver it the headboard was damaged. I was told they need to re-order a new one which will take 7-10 days. few days later I received a call saying that the head board will take about a month to be made and delivered. Finally they called me and they said that they received the piece I was waiting for and it will be delivered the next day. However the next day they called me back and they said that the new headboard is damaged again and they will have to re-order a third one which will take another 7-10 days. So far I don't have a bed. I've contacted the corporate office and complained about the problem I am having and they were careless and there was nothing they can do. I paid for a bed I don't have yet, because of someone's stupidity. I will never recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone and I will never purchase anything from them. There are lots of furniture stores that will offer customer satisfaction. You will save yourself a lot of time and headaches if you go anywhere else. Bottom line, Ashley Furniture is the worst store there is and I cannot believe in this economy they can afford to lose customers.

Not a good bedroom
We went to the store we ordered a bed with a trundle bed & the MANAGER of the store in Fresno his name is Juan from Ashley Furniture put the wrong information & brought us a storage case & almost a month they came back but with another storage case & we went to the store talk to the MANAGer said he can do nothing about it it cost me 200$ to fix the part that didn't work & now they will not give me back my money back & i lost part of the money that i put a payment in the whole bedroom set.I T IS THE WORST PLACE to get furniture because they do not care about you they do not even try to resolve the PROBLEM & do not say sorry at the end.

Consumer Beware
My husband purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture. I had no idea which couch he selected (I was not with him) so when they came to deliver it he was at work, I took the couch in only to find out that when he came home from work that it was NOT the couch he selected. He then went on to tell me that he watched the sales lady write down the item number so he was not sure how the error was made. I immediately called the store only to be told that I had to call the corporate office because the couch had been delivered already, so I called the corporate office who in turn told me I had to call the store. After being pitted against the store & coporate office someone finally contacted us from the corporate office. However we had to wait several days to find out how they were going to resolve the isssue, because the manager of the store was off of work. They resolved the issue by telling us that we could keep the couch until the one my husband really ordered was delivered, the only problem was that they expected it back in excellent condition, & we have 2 small children (we didnt want that burden). We insisted they pick it up because we were not trying to be stuck with it, and then we were without a couch for almost ONE MONTH. I then contacted the corporate office & told them that any company that we had ever come accross, if they had wronged us they offered some form of compensation, I said to the lady in the corporate office "your company never did that" Get this, the lady from the corporate office told me "Our company does not offer compansation, if the customer feels they want it for whatever reason, the customer has to ask for it themselves" I then said I feel that if a company has wronged a customer the company should offer it, the customer should not have to ask. She told me again that I would have to ask, so I told her that at this pooint I was asking for some form of compensation. She told me she had to ask the manager of the corporate office & she would call me back. She called me back only to tell me that the manager would not be offering us any compensation for this matter. I do not recommed this company I don't think they truly value you, and only offer an empty apology!

bad paint job!
We bought a bedroom set 12-07 for our little girl who her Grandma wanted to buy for her to keep for many years to come. The delivery date kept getting pushed back due to a back log in the paint dept. The set was bought in 12-07 already had issues in 2008 and we had the repair person in for issues with the night stand and paint issues. It has been almost three years now an we have paint issues on all the pieces. They tell me to bad to sad you didn't buy the extended warranty. Why would you need a warranty on a bedroom set that hasn't moved out of the bedroom in three years, its not like it's heavily used, we're talking about a 30-40lb girl. The delivery date was late because of paint and now the problem is paint, go figure. I had suspected them before but now I wish I would of went accross the highway to Steinhoffals, or American or Colders or a garage sale!! Ashley is a joke. If I wanted to buy furniture every 3 years I would buy from a cheap store and get a $300 set not $1500-2000. If you buy from Ashely after you read all these reviews then you need a check up by a Doctor.

Ashley Furniture accepts no responsibility for incorrect installation at delivery. Worse - their warranty doesn't cover the damage the improper setup caused!!
We purchased several pieces of furniture and the warranty from Ashley Furniture. One item was a desk and credeza. When they installed the credenza on our desk they left large staples in the bottom. The credenza is just placed on top - not bolted down. When we moved the credenza it put huge scratches in the furniture. We contacted Ashley Furniture because we had purchased the warranty and they told us the scratch is our fault not theirs. When we explained the staples were not in plain view so we would not have known - their answer was that it is not their fault. You installed it we explained. The response was the same - "not our fault" My husband used the analagy that they planted a land mine and when we stepped on it they told us it was our fault. Ashley Furniture does not care about their customers and certainly does not stand behind their work. They take no responsibility for the poor setup and installation. Worse yet - the warranty will not cover the damage created by their poor installation. Based on all of this, the 3 year warrranty is worthless. We have made at least 5 phone calls on the subject and everyone tells us it is just too bad. I would never do business with them again and would suggest you think twice before purchasing a warranty that doesn't cover the damage their poor installation creates.

Ashley Furniture - RUN AWAY FAST!
We bought a recliner and couch (with recliner on each end) from Ashley at Superstition Springs Mall in Mesa, Arizona. Just two months later, the leather started flaking off the back of one side of the couch, which we had hardly sat in at all! Because we had paid extra for the warranty, they sent out a repair person who "painted" the color back on and sealed it with a hair dryer. OK, we put up with that. Then just over a year later, I noticed it was doing it again AND the chair that matches the couch (which my husband uses ALL the time)was flaking also. I drove to the store to speak with them and was told nothing could be done as even though we had the extended warranty, it doesn't cover normal, everyday wear. Also, the seat on the couch was/is all bunched up and we have NO children or anyone else who abuses this furniture in any way! I left there in TEARS. This was our first NEW furniture since the early 80's and it is RUINED and looks like crap!! Because of the size of the couch and the reclining sides, I can't even get a slip cover for it. I have a comforter over my husband's chair. Now I see that the seat of his chair is flaking, too! A good friend of mine, whom I met AFTER all this happened has the same couch with problems also. Her stitching is coming apart. WOULD NOT SUGGEST BUYING ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. When I am able to get new furniture (WHEN, I don't know!), I will be getting it second hand from Craig's List. Nothing new for me EVER again. The Ashley Furniture Stores need to be out of business for good!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I purchased a king size mattress from Ashley. Before delivery i measured the staircase in my home & was concerned that the mattress wouldn't fit, i promptly contacted the store regarding this concern advising them i was willing to exchange for queen to not compromise the king. i was assured it would be fine.
On delivery, the mattress was folded completely in half for it to fit, bending the frame. a problem. i gave it some time & saw the hump in the middle of the bed & the sides of the bed caving in. iwas also waking w. terrible back pain. i contacted Ashley regarding damaged mattress & i'd prefer to switch to a queen as i orignally wanted to. -told technician must come & check first. waited almost 4 weeks for a tech. he claimed he clearly saw the hump, that it was evident the mattress frame was comprimised on delivery & he would indicate so in the report. told me to wait a week for report which was a holiday, no report was done.
Spoke to diane in customer serv. dept. over 7-10 days -told it was being processed & an exchange would occur, the store in farmingdale was aware. went to the store, told they were waiting for a conf. email from customer serv. i call the rest of the wk, advised being worked on. 7/19 3 calls to contact them, on hold 10 minutes or more each time. finally get through on 7/20 & am told that nothing is wrong w. mattress & there will be no exchange. the only thing they could do was send another tech. i dont know how the store, customer serv, & the tech were all on the same page there IS something wrong with the mattress. that an exchnge the clear resolution for everyone & it all changed in one day.
I don't want to suffer w. the mattress any longer, its not right i have to lose a day at work, wait another month for a tech from the same comp. to lie to me again & say they see the problem but report otherwise.
I spoke w. amy at the 800 number -told each store is individually owned. left a message with k&b quality (the company from where the tech) was sent -no return call. spoke with diane and was told that this is all that rob from the ashley store in farmingdale is willing to do.
I just want a full exchange from the king mattress for a queen mattress of the same price. they were paid i should get a quality undamaged product.
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. EACH STORE IS INDIVIDUALLY OWNED. CHANGE THE POLICIES AS THEY SEE FIT.

The WORST customer service I've ever had anywhere.
I purchased a couch back in April, returned it immediately as quality was extremely poor. It is now mid July and after having spoken to numerable representatives including Area General Manager and local Sales Manager, I have nothing good to report about the customer service I've received or better yet, complete lack thereof. I have been treated rudely, been outright ignored, accused of lying, and worst of all, gone in circles chasing less than $400 for a return a month and a half after I personally returned the poor quality couch I received. From the beginning, the salesperson that sold me the couch lied to me, claiming he was unaware of the % discount a previous representative informed me of, but would "do me a favor." I was later told by another salesperson that this particular person was known to lie to customers. Since the return, I've been accused of not having returned a cleaning box associated with the purchase and was charged $40. I was told the return wouldn't be processed because of the cleaning box, which had been returned but not entered in the system. Then after more chasing that the couch was not showing as returned. Three months later, no refund, treated as anything BUT a customer, I regret every dollar I've given Ashley and will never purchase there again.

Would Never Buy Ashley Again
I wished I would have done my research before purchasing a bedroom set from Ashley urnture. I purchase a bedroom set from them on 7/11 pd cash for it. My delivery date was scheduled for on or about 8/11. On 8/10 I called the store to see what time my bedroom set would be delivered.I was told by Customer Service that my bedroom set was on back orderd and the store that sold me the bedroom set should have called and told me that the set was on back order. I was told that I would be sent a gift card for my troubles (still waiting for the gift card). I must give it to the store and the warehouse because the cover themselves with the cancellation policy. You have to wait 30 days after the delivery date that was given to you before you can cancel. INSTEAD OF THE STORE TELLING YOU UP FRONT THAT IT WILL WILL TAKE AT LEAST 60 DAYS BEFORE THEY CAN DELIVER. THE MISLEAD YOU BY GIVING YOU A 30 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE DATE AND THAN TELL YOU, YOU MAY GET BEFORE THAT DATE. I WILL JUST SAY IF YOU CAN NOT WAIT 60 DAYS FOR YOUR PURCHASE PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE DO NOT USE ASHLEY.
PURCHASE WAS MADE ON 7/11 AND I WAS JUST TOLD THAT MY FURNITURE WILL ARRIVE TO ME ON SEPT 10TH. 1 DAY BEFORE I'M ABLE TO CANCEL

Where Is My Furniture
I purchased two pieces of furniture at the beginning of January (they said it would arrive in 5-8 weeks), it's now April and I have heard nothing about where my furniture is. I've called the store several times, but all I've gotten are either lies or "the manager will call you later". The communication between the store and warehouse is their downfall. I feel like I've wasted my money, now I'm taking my information to the BBB to see what they can tell me. It's a shame their customer service and delivery are horrible, they seem so honest and helpful at the store. Not even a phone call after the 8th week to apologize and be straightforward. Please read reviews before going to purchase furniture, if I had, I would have gone somewhere else.

Took Forever & Expensive Too
I purchased a chest and matching end table in Sept. 2008. When I picked them up and brought home, detected damage to chest (after un-boxing). Started gas vouchers submissions (November) for the $500 rebate ($25/month). After 178 days, 7 visits to the Store Manager or taking leave from my job (to meet either the Ashley Tech. or awaiting delivery of replacement parts), March 23, 2009 I finally have a complete order. I have now paid 6 monthly payments plus the deposit, and now find out the gas voucher company is not in business, so for the four months I have sent in receipts w/postage, no gas rebates. But, now I have a new gas voucher company starting in April 2009 (lost 6 months time), but it is for the 20 months from April. In all of this issue, the company never offered to reimburse my money (I asked), nor offered me any residual perks for all my time and other losses in this transaction. What an ordeal...!

BEWARE!!!
My fiance and I purchased a couch and recliner (paid in full) on December 31, 2008. We were told that the orders had been arriving in about four weeks. It has been just over eleven weeks, and no one at Ashley Furniture can tell us where our couch is or when we will receive it. The manager would not give us a discount for our trouble. After sitting on our floor for several weeks waiting for our couch and recliner, we decided to cancel our order with Ashley Furniture and take our business elsewhere. We ordered a similar couch from RC Willey today and it is being delivered tomorrow! Don't waste your time with Ashley Furniture.

2 long to deliver
My fiance and I went to an Ashley furniture store on Febuary 28, 2009 an purchased a sectional and a chaise lounge. We paid it in full that same day. We were told that the delivery date would be March 24th only to get a call today March 20th and be told that our furniture would not be here till April 7th. Thats is over a month since we puchased it. When I told the woman that we were told it was to be delivered on the 24th she said that it was going to be at their warehouse on the 24th. I am not satisfied at all with the time it is taking them to deliver my furniture. Why should it take over a month? They have their money, Im sure if I owed them money that I couldnt call an say Ill have your money for the 24th but Im not giving it to u till the 7th. I am not a happy camper right now. I will think twice before I purchase from them again.

Ashley comforter melted in the dryer
My two week old Ashley comforter melted in the dryer. I was very surprised and shocked to find a melted comforter in the dryer. Goes to show that Ashley does not use fire-retardent materials. Thank God we diden't have a fire. The comforter would have melted itself to my skin. I will never buy Ashley Furniture products again.

Buyer Beware
I purchased two occasional tables from Ashley's (Louisville KY) and one was damaged. The store offered to replace it but expected me to drive the broken table back to the store before they would order the new then drive back in to pickup the new one a different day. All I asked was to order the new table and let me drop the broken table off when I picked up the new one. They flat out refused and did not trust that I was telling the truth about the damage. Even if I was lying why would I put myself through the hassle. Ashley's has no idea what customer service is but I do. That is why you will never see me in there again.

Bedroom Set
I purchased my son a bedroom set and within a couple of months the laminate began to bubble up on the dresser and the laminate on the night stand began to chip right off! When I finally called to inform them of the faulty workmanship they said too bad you are 1 month past your warranty! They were completely unwilling to help. Obviously because they expect this to happen with all of their furniture! Buyers beware!

We paid 2000.00 cash for a sectional. It arrived with a tear on the foot rest. Warehouse people said we will order the part and schedule a technician to make repair. That was Oct. 27th... over 2 months later and several phone calls i finally got a response from the warehouse saying that they will have a technician over in MARCH!!! it will take 5 Months to repair my brand new sectional. Think they would wait that long for a payment I DONT THINK THEY WOULD!!!

Beautiful Couch
I purchased a Ashley couch and chaise from Oak Liquidators here in Fresno Ca. six months after I purchased it the cushions went bad and the frame broke. I was told I had a 7years warranty on the frame and 1year on the cushions. I have called Oak Liquidators and they have promised to replace cushions twice. I have yet to receive them I still have my receipt where I paid cash for these items. I just thought Ashley needed to know how customers are being treated by this distributor. I have purshed Ashley products in the past and was very satisfied with my purchase, I enjoyed it for many years. This purchase needed to be replaced and it was only used for nine months. Fresno CA

beautiful design and color - but product inferior for price
sadly the sofa and loveseat look like designer pieces but the actual construction is poor. The sofa and loveseat sag- these are not old and absolutely seldom used - are in a "showroom setting" and now embarrassing when someone actually tries to sit on either piece!!!

Bad leather couch
we bought a leather couch in Feb, 2005. the front of the couch is sagging. Our dealer said it is out of warranty but to pay that much for a couch and have it go bad within 2 years is not good policy. We are 2 senior citizens and do not have young children or teenagers rough housing on it.
