Bloomingdales.com online shopping is the worst
I have been a 20 year customer of Bloomingdales. each time I order from them online, I receive a call the next evening (generally late) stating I must call back immediately with a 15 digit and letter confirmation number or my order will be canceled. Doesn't matter what it is, or if it is shipped to home or work, then told it is for "my protection" and the customer service people are combatitive. Too much hassle, I canceled my account, credit card and have never been happier. Other stores offer free shipping and no hassle from their customer service department. Bloomingdales also sends nearly daily junk mail and emails which I don't miss. They have a perverse approach to customer service.

false advertising
Bloomingdales sends to many catalogs and never has the merchandise that is advertised. I tried to place an order from catalog I just received and nobe of the items were available. then I tried to contact a supervisor to complain and was left on hold for atleast ten minutes. I will never again try to do business with this company. Pat

False advertising
I waited for over a week to participate in Bloomingdales sale. I live in California and traveled 100 miles round trip to buy an expresso machine. I arrived at 9:55 and went immediately to the department handling these machines. I was able to get one but the four customers behind me were very unhappy and did not buy. This item went on sale 24 May 2007 and the store had only one on the shelf. Excellent example of how to lose customers. The man handling me in the department said something to the effect that I should not be unhappy because I did get a Cuisinart M100. Had I not and after a 100 mile trip, rest assured it would be my last trip to the store.
