Terrible service. (Missing items,Faulty screen)
I'll start by mentioning my details over here so that people reading this will understand that this is not a made up story by a rival company. My name is Anish kumar. I'm from pune. my email address is email@example.com.
Alright then lets get started.
1st sep'09 - I ordered a dell inspiron 1545 laptop. I was immediately contacted by Mr. Amit Chhabra who's an inside sales manager at Dell Gurgaon.
2nd sep'09 - I received the quotation (No. IRIS2795857) & made the payment of Rs. 34,800
7th sep'09 - I got an email from dell saying this ..."Thank you for choosing Dell. I have submitted your order for manufacturing. Your order number is …0397183…. and your customer number is …831815…."
15th sep'09 - I received the package with the following issues :
1) There was a permanent green dot on the screen when i switch on the laptop.
2) Missing item - G85W4 -Belkin Simple Backpack 15.6' Pitch Black / Soft G 1 ray (Jetset Red)
3) Missing item - FW442 -Dell(TM) Bluetooth Travel Mouse 1
4) Missing item - DK903 -Noise Isolation Ear Buds 1
16th sep'09 till today - I've been calling up,emailing the customer care people but the kind of response i've been getting is terrible.
They say that upto 5 dead pixels are allowed as per industry standards. If thats the case, i would advise everyone to go to a dealer/showroom instead of ordering anything online from dell website.
Regarding the missing items, they replied back saying the above items were not mentioned in the order wheareas the quotation that was sent by the manager clearly mentioned the items.
Hope this issue gets escalated if someone from Dell even cares about their brand name.
