I have used their service for more than 1 year. It is true that I have to open a bank in California to accept my money. But I am in Massachusetts. It is a big hassle to manage this separate bank account. Now I just received notice by mail there was a charge back happened in my account about 2 months ago. After checked with USPS, the product has been delivered to this customer with confirmation#. I called ECHO customer support and was told it is too late. I asked if there is anyway to get notice on time in the near future. She said you have to login your account everyday to check. They do not send out any email notice. It is user’s responsibility to track all these information. So I agree that stay away from this company if you can.

What Echo doesn't tell you when you sign up is that you cannot use your own bank account. They automatically set up a bank account with an obscure bank in southern California, which not only means a delay in getting your money but also creates countless headaches and accounting problems.

Echo's monthly statements are also misleading (fraudulent?). They failed to report a charge on my statements and then surprised me with a phone call from their lawyer, demanding $2,000 overnight to avoid a lawsuit. I didn't even have any explanation of the charge or time to investigate it. What crooks! Stay away from this company.
