i used cto shop my family dollar on sullivan st. kingsport,tn until matt porter would not follow his cstore policy. i returned citems i bought and the clothes were to small and i had misplac ed my receipt and he would do nothing about it. i had them hanging on store hangers and family dollar bag draped over them like from parks belk or other nic e stores. i wanted to trade for cleaning supplies and he would not honor his store poli cy. i asked him about his store policy sign and he said quote its just there. he wadded my c lothes up in the bag i had draped over them like they were nothing. i went outsid and fixed the clothes like i had them and i left and went to church hill,tn. and exchanged my clothes for leaning products,the reason i did not get clothes i had already bought 3x and they were to small. also that same day i went to family dollar in gate ity,va. and i told them what had happened and they knew right off who had treated me this way. they had heard other complaints about matt. also i told church hill,tn. store and they were very apolgetic as well as the gate ity,va. store. i shopped sullivan st. store at least twice a week and matt knew me. i would say things like are you working hard,you're busy e.t.c. but i don't anymore and i have passed the word around and they are following suit. i would like to praise the church'yn. weber city,va.gate city,va and the store on john b. dennis tn. store near bloomingdale,tn for how neat and clean their stores are every time i visit which is quite often and they always greet you and are friendly. i'm truly sorry for sullivan st. even thoug clothes were disarray i still shopped there because it was close home. i hope things can get worked out with mr. porter and the store. thank you!

I am a frequent shopper,just about daily as I work next door. Lately prices have jumped,some 75%(paper plates,cookies,etc)The problem is probably stealing.
Why not pay for a security guard instead of passing expense on to loyal shoppers. The neighborhood is already "bad", I don't agree with the employees that security"would make neighborhood look bad"
Also on another note recently my legitimate coupons are not being honored and sales reps just give them back. I have cut down on my buying at FD because of above.

I'm very dissapointed with Family Dollar. A specific price was posted for a specific item but when I got to the register, the price suddenly increased by $6.00. The manager refused to honor the price posted, which is fraudulent. Shame, shame, shame.
