FirstMerit=Hidden Fees on Hidden Transactions FirstMerit Bank might have good customer service sometimes, but I would not recommend this bank to anyone. I was charged over $200 in overdraft fees over a pending transaction that came out of my account the next day! My account was never negative--beware of those pending transactions! Worst of all, the District Manager tried to solve my problem by pointing out that they CAN CHARGE FEES ON PENDING TRANSACTIONS according to the fine print I signed when I opened my account.
