Funtrivia.com hosta a variety of quiz games. At some point you will have to upgrade to a gold account, which cost anywhere from 20 to 38 dollars to continue to be able to take and record your quiz scores. The real pain is for those who submit quizzes. Even though this pays nothing, you are basically giving free content to the site, the editors can be unreasonable and petty. After writing four quizzes for the site, my fifth is being held hostage by the editors. It is very frustrating because they have all the power in the process. They're supposedly voulunteers donating their time, but they control the whole site. So take your quizzes and your time to another site.

My (former friend) who has a trivia challenge game has blocked my access to all games, including his. I just paid $20 to keep my fun-trivia scores saved, etc. I would sure like to know how this guy can do it?!! His name is GD's Challenge. I don't care about that game, if he doesn't want me in it...but I sure want to play in another game and enjoy this website for the balance of my $20 subscription.

All in all enjoyed it...did well.joined team...paid to play w/o ads going across the screen constantly...then one day they just cut me off. No Explanation or anything. oh, and the quiz editors are extremely rude. Very strange people to deal with. Which is a shame because met some real nice players...

Quite simply, Funtrivia has the widest range of quiz topics on the web, it's the most original, and it's the largest quiz site out there. Anything else is inferior, and they treat members like neighbours. It's so well-organized.

Anonymous says that FunTrivia sucks and he/she doesn't like it but hasn't given any reasons why so this comment is not at all helpful. It amazes me how many features this site has and how much is available for free. Buying a gold membership gets you even more features but doesn't prevent you playing all the quizzes you want. So who cares if your scores aren't recorded? It's not like there are prizes to be won. The important thing is what you learn from the quizzes and the enjoyment you gain from playing them. I was a free member for a long time and now I have gold membership and I've not been treated any better or worse by the editors as a result.

I am a member of a number of trivia sites including Funtrivia and Sploofus. Quite frankly, FunTrivia is far and away the best trivia site on the Internet because of their quality control. It's definitely my favourite website. I had one of my Funtrivia quizzes plagiarised by a player at Sploofus who submitted to Sploofus as their own work. However, when I let the administrator at Sploofus know about it, he took immediate steps to rectify the problem. Both sites work very hard to weed out plagiarised material and to maintain a high standard of quizzes. Most trivia websites are biased in favour of their country so the American bias on an American site is to be expected. It's not a problem for me, even though I am Australian. I welcome the opportunity to learn something about another country.

I have found this site to be amazing from the quizzes to the people in their that help you. What a great variety of quizzes in every possible category under the Sun. I'm glad I found this educating and fun tool.

funtrivia is a nice place to play trivia online. Nothing more nothing less. If you have a really high expections, you might get disappointed playing at funtrivia.com
I agree to some of the fox here the sploofus.com is a better alternative.

Well run and moderated site. The quizzes are a good variety as you have the choice of which type of quizz to play. Friendly people in the forums if you like to chat.

Really cool site overall. The standard of the quizzes varies, as you would expect, but good ones aren't hard to find. There are also quite a few fun competitions and tournaments you can join.

But my main dissatisfaction stems around the disproportionate number of questions that are American in origin, namely presidents and state quarter questions. As there are many of both subjects, there are many opportunities to lose points if you aren't from there. The same goes for popular fiction. Chances are if you know a lot a trivia it's because you have been reading non-fiction all your life.

It's well designed,and fun to use, especially if you register (free), in which case your scores are recorded and you can measure your progress against other players. The only trouble is, once you've started, it can get addictive!
