The visual maps are a great resource and none of the competitors have them. I'm constantly checking out my competition through this site I couldn't track it as easily before I subscribed.

I never leave reviews but I have to warn people about this company. They will let you sign up and then tell you that you are in a contract and you have to pay $200 a month for 12 months. No way out of it. Also, they don't have any valuable information on their site. I seriously believe that any positive review that you read about them is written by them.

They offer a service that was not up to my expectations, and though I chose the monthly option of payment, apparently you enter into a "1-year agreement" with them. When I wanted to cancel my account due to my dissatisfaction, they told me I would have to pay $500 to do so. Do not use this service! I don't believe that a legitimate company would force unhappy clients to use a product that they don't desire.

The Data provided by this service is Public Information. If you are an Importer or Exporter, your information will be published. Unless of course you know how to have US Customs with hold your info. I am the Importgod I can help at att dot net

I have used this service for more than a year and I could not be more pleased with my experience. The customer service has been exceptional and they are very prompt in providing assistance. The user interface is extremely easy to use and I firmly feel that the price is a bargain for what you receive. I diligently shopped around before electing to use ImportGenius and based on my experience, I recommend ImportGenius to anyone or any company wishing access to import information.

My business as a freight broker has led me to this type of import data. I spent some time researching the options, differences, and similarities (and I think you should do the same). There are several companies that offer this type of data but not all gather the info from US Customs, avoid the cut rate Chinese companies they miss a lot of data. I found the Import Genius website is the most easy to use interface and they have some of the best prices. Other companies impose commodity or port restrictions. Some also limit the amount of details that can be viewed based on the account type. In my business I did not want commodity restrictions or censored data.

In fairness, I do not want to name names. I was informed that one company in particular creates data points not provided by the US Government. The sales rep at IG explained this to me and I could not believe it. I investigated this and found on the competitor’s website they have a fancy way of saying they guess (they use the term "generally accepted") on portions of the data.

In all I found Import Genius to be the best value on the internet. Do your homework and don't listen to the people that are just angry (or not too fond) that their records are public.

Import Genius is the best database available on the internet on my opinion when the cost-benefit is analyzed. They have very flexible plans, and you are able to pay only for what you really need. Not only that, while other competitors charge three times more for the same service, the source of information is the same: the U.S. Customs database.

As for the last commenter, the Datamyne is a competitor that offers a similar service for 2-3x as much money. At first I was surprised they would stoop to the level of attacking us like this, but its a pattern their web marketing people have repeated across the web.

I would recommend that you judge for yourself, do a live demo with both companies and see if they are worth the extra money. I'm confident you'll make the right decision for your business, either way.

All their information were not from Customs, that is a lie. all their info were sold by software provider to the shipping companies, or stolen by them. they are insulting many businesses.

This site is nothing but highway robbery. Don't bother with them. They don't keep their word. They make promises and once you pay, your left with nothing. The little info you get is useless and outdated or contains missing pieces in the report. Wish I never gave them any money.

It seems like database size and track record matters a lot in this business, especially when analyzing trade trends, so startups are at a disadvantage. The Datamyne offers the same service but with 600 million records in the database accumulated over more than a decade and current records entered daily from 42 countries including LATAM, Asia and the EU.
