Learned by mistake
Have used the corn muffin mix for years. Today I made a mistake and added the amount for the pancakes. It looked way to thin of course. I let the batter sit for about an hour and a half so it would thicken. It did, and I proceeded to bake at 400o. These were the best I ever tasted from this mix. They were moist but never fell apart. Also yielded more than ever before. You might want to change your directions. --Surprised and satisfied, Karen Stewart

Jiffy corn muffin mix
I like the jiffy corn muffin mix alot. I have used it for years to make broccoli corn bread. It's delicious! My friend will not eat it because she only eats kosher food. My question is "Is Jiffy corn muffin mix kosher"? If any one can answer this question I would appreciate it. This is no put down on the Jiffy company just a question. opa

Jiffy Yellow Cake Mix
I have used Jiffy Mixes for years. I no longer can find Jiffy Yellow Cake Mix in my area. This mix had a recipe for Chewy Bars that was so good, I miss making them. Has anyone used other cake mixes to make these bars?

Bugs in mix and we are overseas
We use to live in Houston, Texas, and when we complained about finding bugs in the mix, they blamed it on our home.
Well now we live in the middle east, 8000 + miles from Houston, TX, and we still find bugs in the mix.
No more Jiffy mix for us!

Baking time??
Your box says to bake the Johnny Cake for 20 to 25 mins
using an 8x8 pan at 400 degrees. It is done in 10 mins.
in my 400 degree oven(and my oven works fine). I live in
Mn, is your time for another climate?

Disappointed
I have been using Jiffy Mix for many years and I have noticed that you have changed it somehow and it is not as good as it was in the past. Therefore, I will not be buying it anymore. I think you should go back to your original formula.

Years of use
Have used Jiffy corn muffin mix since Flakorn muffin mix was no loner around. The past 2 boxes have been a big dissappointment. Johnny cake never rose and did not taste as it should have. Made muffins to-day and they rose slightly but did not have the slightest tinge of looking baked. Bottoms browned but tops did not and the taste was the same as the cornbread, not the usual Jiffy. Date on box expires 4/26/09 and the code wasR8057c. Thought you may want to know as I shall not use them again until further notice what is going on. Thank you for listening and hope this can be corrected if a change in formula has occured.

bugs in my mix also
bugs in my mix also, I purchased six boxes of Jiffy Corn muffin mix - YIKES they all had bugs in them, and the date was still good! I am going to make a complaint. Although, I have to say I have been using this mix for a very long time and had never had any complaints or bugs until now.

Jiffy cornmeal pancakes
I have given up! i use fresh milk, egg, oil do exactly what the directions say. In fact, i have been doing this for more years than I care to remember. BUT, the past year, the pancakes fall apart when turned over, the flour appears to be more grainy with hardly any consistency. What's going on? Please, some suggestions. And by the way, once I tried making them the night before, that didn't work either.

Can't find a cake mix
I can't find any place to ask a question.
I would like to know is Jiffy still makes the chocolate cake mix?? I checked for zip codes in Minnesota and can't get any info. Is the choc. still made, and, if so, where is it sold??? Thank you so much...
