MICE IN ROOF TRAVEL TRAILER ZEPPELINE 24
Does anyone have any idea how they got in. We have checked wires, plumbing, gas lines,
Took off rook speaker & noticed about 2 inches air space.
Can any one explain the construction of roof?
Thanks

Bad Craftsman Ship / Poor Product
We bought a 2008 Hideout 29BHS brand new. We love this trailer because it is exactly what we were looking for. However, we have had a lot of random problems. The panel on the inside of one of the kitchen cubboards keeps coming loose, one of the inside panels bows out, the outside shower broke, the door handle broke - good thing we have two doors or we would have been locked in, the most annoying thing is that the underside of the bottom bunk of our fold down bunkbeds keeps coming loose. It has a 250 weight limit and my daughter weighs 70 lbs. This trailer is immaculate. I scrub it down everytime it goes anywhere. There is even plastic still on the carpet and on the mattresses. My kids are very careful and don't damage things. That means that it has to be poor quality.

quality control
recently got a raptor 300mp, thought I was getting a cadillac. After crawling around underneath found numerous screws missing, not. tighten up,holes for water and sewer lines not cocked, sawdust and debris in duct system, wiring looked like some hacker did it,still not sure if cable system is going to work.I'm union pipefitter, this is lousy trade work, there should be more pride in the craftsmanship displayed here.I am very disappointed with the work here.Where is the quality control?

2008 keystone hideout
We bought it because the size is perfect for us (21ft w/ slide). What we didn't notice until later: sloppy welding, leaking roof due to sloppy sealant around vent, door stop that punches hole in door because it misses the mating piece, inside panels that pulled loose, unsealed hole under sink that let in mice (yes, we had traps, but not enough), water leak in city water inlet tee (inside), and cold water faucet that turns the wrong way (so after our grandson washed his hands, and tried to turn it off, it kept pouring out more water and flooded the floor). In summary: shoddy and cheap. Major buyers remorse. Previous trailer was a Kit, wish we still had it...

Dissapointed Keystone Montana Owner-3400RL
We have had our 5er, new since 2005 and have had nothing but problems, not convinced I would purchase another Montana when we had a Forrest River for 3yrs prior and not 1 single issue. Our problems started when we pulled out off the dealer lot and the brakes were not working on the trailer...5hrs later, they determined the ground wire on the trailer electric brakes were chafing. On our first trip out our Water Heater went out and since then we have replaced mechanic's of the Refrigerator, Rear slide-out hydraulic valves (getting ready to do again appears), Grey tank cracked, cabinet door screw hinges were stripped out, I personnally rebuilt the internal structure of the master bedroom drawer cabinets due to bad craftsmanship - when they fell apart on a trip, some of the upper cabinetry face fronts have come loose, replaced plumbing and parts in the bedroom sink, shower/tub and toilet. Should I go on? We recently ran into a factory rep at an RV Show and as soon as I started going into the details, he quickly led us away from others that were looking at the units. Unfortunately he listened, but had no answers. It's obvious we got a lemon, runt of the litter...but dissapointed when you make an investment like this and doesn;t live up to the hype. I have since had several friends and family members stay away from Keytone products.

My mom and dad bought a 2009 raptor from keystone and the thing has been in the shop more than its been out of the shop. They bought it to be able to go camping in it when they want to but it is alway in the shop. this time its in the shop for the roof seals not being long enoughso it has been leaking all down inside the walls. on top of that they only gave them a year warranty for something they paid $75000.00 for, you would think that someone who makes something so expensive would gave you at least 5 years on it.

Beware! of Keystone
Purchased a 2008 Hideout. It appeared to have everything we needed. The problem comes with what we didn't need. This camper had been used 5 times. We had parked late October. We decided to go into it in Dec. Well what a sicking shock we had. Mice had been able to get into through a hole under the sink where the water and drain lines went through. All the other areas where lines went through were sealed. This area was missed. We had breakfast seating area damage and sofa damage, not to mention they had left behind all their offerings. We purchased this RV and was told it had a sealed underbody. We took the RV back to the dealer and they sent pictures to Keystone. Keystone replied that this is not covered under warranty. Well Hello, if they had did their job when they had manufactured the product I would not be having this problem. Ok they also said that I should use traps, moth balls to control this problem. I say where was the warning posted that stated this product is not sealed and you may have problems with rodents. So my advice to anyone looking to purchase a rv is to steer clear of Keystone products. Not singing a happy tune, nothing but sour notes.

Big Sky 5th Wheel 35RLQ
Purchased the Big Sky 5th wheel and it has been a pleasure and real value for me and my wife. The dealer, Hemlock Hill RV in CT was excellant to deal with and the price was the best found. After the first 3,000 mile trip I had several small items that needed attention and Hemlock Hill took care of them 100%. The service Department was very caring, professional and made everything right. Looking forward to seveal years traveling in this RV

WE BOUGHT A LEMON - KEYSTONE CHALLENGER 5TH WHEEL
April 2007, we purchased what was either a 2005, 2006, 2007 5th wheel from Springs Creek RV, Nebo NC and have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS from the screen door all the way to the bedroom closet. Complaints consist of Electrical, recliners, booth, range, microwave, spray washer for holding tank, poor service & response from dealer & factory. Would NOT recommend this product line, dealership, or company to anyone. Oh, yes we had purchased our 1st new 5th wheel in 2000-wish we had kept it! As of today we do not know what year (model) our Challenger is. Think twice before purchasing from Keystone & Springs Creek RV.

2005 Keystone Outback Rubber Roof Decay
I bought a 2005 Keystone Outback Sydney 5th wheel with a 10 year warranty on the roof. At about 18 months from delivery the roof decayed over a 1 month period from dusty to destroyed. The center and seams were just fine, but along the sides on the top opened up with a 1 inch gap and material blowing in the wind rotting the untreated plywood underneath. A new roof for $9000 from Lazydays at Seffner, FL and 14 months later, guess what? I found a 1 inch by 1.4 inch hole in the new rubber roof in the same spot as one of my earlier holes. They should not sell rubber roofs. Neither Keystone nor Lazydays will admit to rubber roof problems, but I cannot afford $9000 per year for new roofs and would never buy another rubber roof. I have digital pictures of the damage.

EXCELLENT SERVICE
My raptor was 3 mo. out of warrenty when the rubber roof came loose at the front. The entire roof had to be replaced at a cost of approx $6000. Keystone agreed to pick up the entire cost and this without a call from me. All communication and the work, which appears to be excellent, was handled by Shawn at Lazydays rv in Seffner Fl. Thank you so much Keystone! this was very admirable. We really did not have the money to fix it. I will sing your praises wherever I go!

keystone rv selling damaged units as new
keystone rv sent a fifth wheel trailer to emarald coast rv in dothan al. with a slide seal that had been installed incorrectly, sending rain in the unit every time it rained since 2005 when the unit was built. I purchased the unit in feb.16 07 and found the damage a month later. my complaint is that keystone wants to repair the unit and not replace the unit. i paid for a new rv, not a damaged rebuilt rv.
