 Started out great but.
Well, I was very impressed with the kmart.com website and how EASY it was to order a car chair to be delivered to my young grandchild in another state. Everything went great. Since I was ordering at the end of the year, right before New Year's Day, I was not upset to learn that my order wouldn't arrive for about 10 days. Cool, no problem. I received an email on January 4th that my order had shipped. Note the past tense used in that statement: it HAD SHIPPED. We have been waiting ever since for it to travel less than 800 miles in the one part of the country where snow and ice have not impacted travel.
Turns out it did not ship on the 4th at all. The only thing that happened on the 4th was that a label for the shipping box was printed up. Yes it was. And a week later, the label was put on a box and UPS took the box away. So on the 4th, nothing happened.
I have never heard of this type of nonsense. Unfortunately, since the customer service representatives lie to you (there is SO much more to this story) and then the supervisors tell you they cannot possibly explain what happened to cause the delay, well, that makes the entire system unreliable and I will never again be able to trust that site. Darn, since it was an excellent site and the expectation was very high. For the record, I really like shopping at the real Kmarts and Sears stores in the area. Oh well, next time I'll know better than to believe what I read.
