don't waste your time and money
I worked there for six months, you work day and night for nil hoping for improving and getting better chances, they have something called pending earnings, that is something like money that you will not be paid, they claim that customers did not pay, imagine this ,,, claim!!, this happens each time your earnings are about to be something reasonable, they like you to work for too much little earnings, otherwise they will try to hide it as not paid.
If you insist on requesting this money they will claim abuse, then block your account and reserve everything.
Some experts have thousands of dollars. Some of my customers told me that their credit card has been charged twice for those cases claimed as pending earnings.
I don't rec.om.mend any customer or expert to work for them at all.
I have the necessary snapshots and emails to prove all what I claimed.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS IT IS UNRELIABLE!
Sorry for the caps above, but it is for your own good! Live person is indeed a S C A M SITE STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! I myself found out the hard way attempting to use two of their "programming experts". I needed a hand with an assignment to do an elevator project, i even sent them the non working code i had so far. I was very specific what was needed, the deadline came i contacted the "expert" and asked where the program was, he sent me back the EXACT SAME UNWORKING PROGRAM i sent him. When i told him it would not compile, he said (of course) it worked fine for him. I told him i really needed the five test run results from the requirements, could he please just give me those. He replied he would as soon as i approved the work. Foolishly i did so, and never got the results. I then desperate for time approached a second "expert" who said he could do the work as well, although for higher cost, i sent him the same info, and when the time came received a zipped file, that was completely un-openable, by any program, by anyone, kept saying archive error. So i replied to him just send me the files individually, there should have only been 5 files. He said he could not. I then suggested using wikisend. He never replied back. So i refused to accept his work, opened a paypall dispute, and as soon as i did was contacted by Liveperson that they would NOT be refunding my money and blocked my account (not that i would every use it again!). Which is in BLATANT violation of their OWN terms of use, as i never accepted the second "experts" work so he should never have been paid, they basically are keeping my money. I have since also disputed it from my credit card company as well, and filed a Better Business Bureau complaint as well.
End result = AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

It works for me... ?
I felt compelled to leave a review since poor liveperson.com only has 3 reviews and they're all negative ones... but then again people usually don't feel the need to leave a review unless they've had a bad experience.

Unlike 2 out of the 3 reviews below, I actually used the service.

As for the review from 2008, you called their psychic service "rubbish". Sorry to break it to you but all psychics are "rubbish" and no human being can read your mind nor tell you the future.

Now for my review.

The site is well designed and clean looking. It's very easy to find what you need. I have been using the site to get advice on programming (C#, Java, PHP, etc). They even help you out with your homework if you need it, which has been a lifesaver. The site is made up of "experts" which are people like you and me who are experts in their chosen field. They usually charge about $.050 to $0.99 an hour, but the charges don't start until you click the button to start the session. You are given the chance to talk to each expert for free before you choose to "hire" them.

The site is a great help, and deserves a good review because it works. Granted, I've only used programming experts so your experience may very if you are looking for advice on a different topic.

Either way, I give it a 4/5. I just wish they had more experts on hand. Plus they have an "F" rating at the BBB because for some reason they haven't responded to any of the BBB's letters for general information about the company, so that eludes to how poorly managed they are.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
This is the biggest lot of rubbish I have ever come across. The so called pyschics or whatever they are prattle on unnecessarily and probably refer to your query for 1 minute.

I can't even access the site, let alone subscribe...
I've been trying over the past couple weeks to access this site (a step necessary for me to get this online training I applied for) and it keeps coming up as the site is temporarily unavailable or too busy. Doesn't matter what time of day I try, doesn't matter what day of the week... it's been doing this for a long time now, and they'd better get their butts in gear and get their website fixed.

Ethan: We are not familiar with this error , we have hundreds of clients that are working already with the Vista and the same file, I suggest checking this issue with a technician
Ethan: I will escalate this issue also to our programmers for further testing however this seems to be a local issue on your side
You: well, if it is a local issue can you tell me how to fix it locally
You: ?
You: Fact is, I can't install it, whatever the reason
Ethan: I'm afraid not, if it is a issue with your computer then i cannot fix it for you
You: But my computer works fine, the only thing that doesn't work is installing LP
You: please contact your technicians to find out which "local issues" can interfere with your program
Ethan: I am a technician , as i mentioned this issue is caused by some failure in your computer and i advise to check this with your computer technician. You can install the software also on a different computer
You: this is a totally unsatifactory answer - how should I know what "some failure" on my computer is - the only noticeable issue on this machine is LP not working
You: And I surely won't buy a new computer
Ethan: I understand however this message can be from many reasons including dll problems or window issues that use certain programs, however i cant be certain what is the issue on your computer and this needs to be checked with a pc technician
Ethan: I apologize for any inconvenience this is causing you
You: OK - but other companies walk me through trouble shooting at this point
You: The inconvenience is that I'll have to cancel the LP subscription
Ethan: We can walk through once the system is installed or if it a issue with our files
