Poor
I have been having much trouble with the new system. I have had this account for 4 years and I have never had so much trouble as I have in the past few months.

mailcity or lycos e mail
I receive over 200 junk mail a week in my lycos account ever since the last big upgrade in the lycos/mailcity free e mail accounts. I also have trouble with sending e mails and what not. Its absolutely terrible. I keep it active because I have had this account for about 10 years, but I don't like it much right now.

Poor E-mail
I have had nothing but problems ever since you fixed so you say this NEW e-mail. Nothing but problems. I cannot compose. I cannot put things in my folders. I wish you would have left it the way it was. Ms Tolliver

Mailcity
Now a part of LYCOS, Mailcity provides several E-Mail services, pushing the 'free account' user towards their premium packages by constantly reminding you that if you don't log in every 30 days, they will delete your mail. The service used to be very good with Spam filtering, but that seems extremely poor of late (01/2007) - again on a free account.
You get a generous enough 3GB of space, and the usual abilities to create sub-folders etc, and define black/white lists to filter who sends you mail (or not). Been going for many years as Mailcity (my account goes back to 1995), but always diverts you to the Lycos Portal these days. For my free account I seem to get redirected to a page pushing the premium offerings like 'Mail Protection/Preservation' with monotonous regularity, but since they're only protecting you from them it seems a bit too cynical a sell, I just scripted an auto-logon and set it up under Windows scheduler to keep me inside the 30 day limit.
