Augusta Ga: Should have saved my $220 and cleaned it myself.
My house is not that dirty to begin with. They left fur balls, dust and filth. I could have done a better job in two hours. For the money I expected something special. Will not be taken in again.

Very expensive and very bad
They are very pleasant and that's about it. They were very slow in cleaning, and didn't do all the rooms. They didn't pick up anything to clean under -- and left many areas totally undone. Their prices are through the sky. Would definitely NOT recommend this service.

Nothing was cleaned...
I used Burlington Molly Maid and asked to have a 1 bedroom cleaned.
Told them they can take as much time as they wanted to clean and have them a short list of things that had to be done (like clean the bathtub, the inside of the fridge and cupboards).
Not only were none of the above touched, but the place wasn't even dusted! All appliances were left as they were.
I looked around the condo to try and figure out what and if anything was cleaned at all...

Never again!
I was so excited all day at the idea of coming home to a super clean house that I didn't have to spend the day doing myself. Well, I should have spent the day doing it, because my house would actually be clean and I would still have who knows how much money in my pocket. Oh, and the glass frame on one of my pieces of art would still be in tact and the baseboard wouldn't have a huge gouge from where the frame hit it on it's way down to the floor. And the floors - I purposely put a piece of spinach on the floor, yes it was a test, and it's still on the floor, just on the opposite side of the kitchen and pushed into a corner. No one called me to say how long the "cleaning" took, how much I was going to be charged, to ask if I was satisfied, or to ask how I would like them to lock up my house upon leaving - which they didn't even bother locking the handle in the front or back of the house. My house was left wide open. They don't carry product to clean wood floors, so you have to provide your own, no problem, but that should have been my first inclination that I was getting a substandard service. I'm so livid I don't even want them to send their 'A' team over, and that's taking a wild stab that they even have such a thing. I only hope that I can get the streaks they left out of my stainless steel back splash in the kitchen, because apparently they don't carry cleaners for stainless steel either. I'm not a happy camper.

Molly Maids - Tracy - Extremely Poor Service
Repeatedly I called with a list of items that were not done, each time they returned same problem. They would dust the blinds and leave them in a mess, verticals: hanging on the window seals and twisted, other blinds twisted in various directions. Items would not be dusted and mirrors not cleaned. I would not recommend this group of people. 4 different cleaning crews same problems and the last was even supervised by their supervisor. I told the supervisor about the problems before her arrival with the new crew, but was told by the supervisor herself the next day that she couldn't remember what I had told her. She only wrote down mirrors and blinds. I sent the supervisor pictures afterwards, she didn't even look at them. Called me later to say, this was not going to work out. NO KIDDING!

Molly Maids--Sorry Maids
This was my first and last experience with them. I wrote a letter to Molly Maids last week and have yet to hear from them:

I contacted Molly Maid Service in late February to come to my house on March 3, 2011 to do some cleaning at my house. The maids were supposed to be here sometime between 1 and 2 pm. I got a call the day before reminding me that they would be here on the third of the month and I told whoever called that I hadn’t forgotten they’d be here between 1 and 2 pm. The lady I spoke to said that she thought it was around 12:00 to 12:30 so I was agreeable to that.

On Thursday, March 3, I began waiting for them to get here around 12:30. There was no sign of anyone. Finally, around 1:00 pm I called the service and they were surprised the maids weren’t here and called the job they were working on and I was called back and told that it would probably be another 45 minutes before they got here. So, I had no choice but to wait longer. Finally, they showed up at 2:30, over two hours late, which isn’t a good beginning nor a good sign of things to come.

The women started setting up right away. I had been told to have a list of things for them to do and I had had plenty of time to get it ready and have it sitting out for them.

First, they started out on my boy’s bathroom and he mainly wanted the sink and bathtub areas cleaned and also the floorboard area. I checked later and the sink looked fine. The bathtub had some cleaning solution residue left on it, which wasn’t a big deal but the brown area around the drain had not been cleaned so the tub cleaning part looked shoddy.

The women were supposed to work mainly in the kitchen and since I’m going to be moving within the next few months, I wanted them to pull out boxes and envelopes of food in some of the cupboards so I could go through them which they did with no problem.

Next, on the list they were supposed to clean off all shelves in the kitchen and the inside and outside of cupboards which they didn’t do. (they only cleaned off the shelves of about four cupboards, and even then it was just the shelves) I came through periodically and they’d ask me what areas they were supposed to be cleaning and as I’d watch them I’d have to show them parts that they hadn’t done in cleaning out the cupboards. According to my list they were supposed to clean the windows in my kitchen and the glass on cupboards both of which they didn’t do. The outside of all the cupboards looked the same as when they left, I didn’t notice the inside of any doors being cleaned.

The lady who was in charge cleaned the oven like I requested and she did a pretty good job of that.

I had on the list that the fridge had a few spill areas inside that needed to be cleaned and that they should wipe off the outside of the fridge, both of which they didn’t do.

I asked that they mop the kitchen floor which they didn’t do. I was working in the next room and heard a vacuum running. When they left I saw some dirt stuck to the floor and I know for sure that they didn’t wash the floor because there is always the smell of detergent when that is done and there was no smell of any floor detergent used.

If they had any questions I told them I’d be in the room next door and gave them my cell phone number if they couldn’t find me so there was no excuse for confusion.

I had paid for three hours of work and that should have been plenty of time for three women to have done at least most of the work in my kitchen.

My dad, who has Alzheimer’s had probably joked that they should do his room next so the lady told me that he wanted it done and they were going to go to his room to dust. There was still work to be done on the kitchen, however and thirty minutes of cleaning time left that I’d paid for. When the lady in charge (I forget her name) came back to me after about fifteen minutes I told her what I needed to have done and she said that they had to leave because two of the girls were sick. I wasn’t told to check over what they’d done at that point, I was just told that they had to go and that I’d be reimbursed for the fifteen minutes that they’d left early.

When I went back later to check and see what they did manage to accomplish the only areas on the counter that they’d wiped was the areas of the counter that didn’t have items on it. They didn’t move things or stack things in an area so that they could clean off the entire counter area.

When they’d left, it really didn’t look like they’d done that much and I had to search to see what they’d done.

I didn’t realize that I’d have to stay in the same room with them and show them that in order to clean off counters you have to move the things on the counters and that you have to clean the whole area and not just part of it. I did come in periodically and answer questions but the whole episode of having them down was equivalent to having some twelve year olds cleaning my kitchen with me standing over them constantly.

I’m not saying I had problems with the women themselves, they were very nice. The main lady had a phone or some device that kept going off all the time. I was talking to her and it kept ringing. She didn’t shut it off and it kept ringing.

There was some language barrier which was irritating and didn’t help the situation. I know we’re not supposed to look at nationality as an issue but it seems like I always spend more time trying to explain to these people what I’m trying to say.

I had hoped that the next day or so after the ladies left that I would have gotten a phone call or mail from the maid service asking me if I was pleased with the job that they’d done. If I’d had to pay after they were through I know I wouldn’t have paid $210. The job they did wasn’t worth it—paying $100 would have been a stretch for what I got out of my money. I finally realized that I wasn’t going to be contacted by your service and that shows me that your service wasn’t interested in the opinion of what might have been a new customer so I’m writing this unsolicited opinion.

End of Letter--they were recommended by a realtor but somehow i doubt that she really even used them.

I noticed when I went to the Charlotte, NC website for Molly Maids that there was a 24 hour guarantee, nobody mentioned that to me when I called. How was i supposed to know that? I just went to the website to get their phone number initially. It's too bad I didn't check on them more before they came, if I had come to this review area for them I certainly never would have hired them and I'd be $196 richer. They did refund me fifteen minutes on my bank account, which meant I got $18 put back in the account, i did the math and it didn't look right.

Well, good luck to anyone who ignores these reviews. PS I have yet to hear from Molly Maids, if I do, I'll come back here

Molly Maids - Citrus Heights, CA. - More like Molly Theives!!
I have not had my home professionally cleaned in over 5 years. It is a luxury I cannot afford. I spent $180.00 for a 1 time cleaning, only to discover 20 minutes after they left that one of my jewelry boxes was empty!! When I called to notify the office manager, I was told that they would "look into it". I called a week later and was told, "We are investigating this". It has now been 5 weeks and they finally called today to tell me that they they talked to the girls who cleaned my house and they say they didnt take anything. Oh, and I am welcome to file a police report if I want to. REALLY??!!?? Molly Maids, Thank you for taking my one time luxury experience and crapping on it, my $180.00, and my jewelry. And I will be filing a police report. :(

ripped off
I hired Molly maid to give my house a good cleaning after a bathrm reno was completed. Based on the information i gave the company about the size of my house they quoted 2hrs work would be sufficient at @75.00 hr for 2 girls. my husband was at home and I left to run some errants trusting that when they arrived they would follow the cleaning list I had left for them. I came home and they had been at my house for 1hr 15 mins. I did some yard work and came in side to find that 2 hrs later and 2 girls they had cleaned 1 sm bthrm, 1 regular size bathrm and wiped down the front of my cupboards. They then indicated it would take them another hr to finish the job. I asked them to leave and they did. I called the company to complain and was told I would only charged for 1 1/2 hrs work. Stupid me gave them my credit card # and a few days later got a letter saying that in their findings the girls were at my house 2hrs 20 mins and i would be charged for only 2 hrs work because they were refunding 20 minutes because of my complaints. i feel royally ripped off and have no recourse of getting my money back. I will never recommend these people and wish i could stop them from ripping off more people.

Molly Maid Service.
I was sucked in to a Job that would have originally taken a normal person 3 hours they kept on sucking me in for more time. They needed supervision to get your moneys worth. 5 hours later and $300 poorer and never again. Should sparkle for that amount $$. things I asked them did not get done I was sucked in like a fool. When called to complain she never offered a refund or at least $$ off just we are so sorry. Bad business ethics.

Scuff marks not part of cleaning floors? That's what I was told
Requested complete cleaning of small empty house getting ready to put up for sale.
Walked thru the house with the owner of MollyMaids, Lisle and explained that I wanted wood floors cleaned, kitchen cabinets cleaned, all the general cleaning to be done plus needed to have all of the equipment (heating, airconditioner, etc) in the utility cleaned.
When I went to inspect the house, there were stil scuff marks on the wood floor, there was grout dust on the cabinets (very thick in some areas), the shower doors were not clean and the utility room equipment was still dirty. I called and complained they came back. They cleaned the shower doors, and wiped down one hot water heater. Everything else was the same as it was when I hired them. I again called and complained. I was told that I didn't say I wanted the scuff marks removed. Well is it just me or is that part of cleaning the floors? I showed the owner the photos I'd taken of all the undone work and I didn't get an apology just a look like I was nuts and he said he understood, but I didn't clarify about the scuff marks to which I responded "what about everything else that wasn't done in the photos" his response "I understand". I would not recommend this company nor would I ever use them again. Price was quite high too. They charged me $160 to clean an empty house that wasn't all that dirty, just very dusty and floors scuffed up a bit. I paid them $80 and still thought that was too much after all the aggravation.

NEVER AGAIN
Tried their service once for in-depth cleaning.highly disappointed! While I was out of town my husband thought he would have the house cleaned - sweet man.wrong company! They did just as poor of a job as the first time! Floors still with hair and dirt, nothing dusted and shower still remains with soap residue! No thanks! They might be cheaper than the other companyies - but there is definitely a reason why!

Molly Maids in Austin Texas
Well, I should have read all the reviews prior to scheduling a 1 time cleaning. I will never hire them again or will I recommend them. They said they only had to complete 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms that were empty. They used up 6 manhours for this. The bathrooms were alright for maybe there standards but not mine. I talked to the receptionist, manager and owner. One of them told me they didn't clean grout. Also , the manager and owner had no people skills at all. They were not willing to resolve the matter. The Austin, Tx Molly Maid will need to do a better job. Unhappy in Austin

Stolen jewelry
I hired Molly Maid to clean my mother's house in Burbank and they stole several rings, necklaces, a bracelet and cash as well as a credit card. The first few times the maids came to my mother's house I stayed the entire time they were there cleaning. After a few visits I felt I had a rapport with the maids even though they didn't speak English very well and my Spanish isn't the best either. My mother is elderly and couldn't possibly watch both maids while they cleaned her house. I believe one acted as a lookout while the other searched through my mother's bedroom and removed the items. Fortunately, her credit card had a small limit because they maxed it out with cash advances in a Hustler Casino. Some of the jewelry they took is very old and irreplaceable which is heartbreaking to me and my mother...a couple items were given as gifts from my father who passed away years ago. She discovered the missing items about 2 days after the maids were at her house and during those 2 days she had not left the house. The owner of the local franchise gave me the runaround, said he questioned his employees and they denied it. Is that a surprise? My mother filed a claim with her homeowner's insurance company so she'll get money for the stolen items but they're absolutely irreplaceable. I would not recommend using Molly Maids at all.

Poor MM service over the water too!!!
I was incredibly disappointed with Molly Maid and would NEVER recommend them. I set up a standing order to pay for a fortnightly clean at my pensioner mothers house but on the first (and only) clean one of the girls couldn't stop saying snidey things about the house or the job and was as miserable as sin. Horrible, rude thing. I cancelled the regular clean and told them to just take for the one off clean. A YEAR later, my mother receives a court order for the unpaid clean that THEY didn't charge even though they had my bank details and I was the name on the contract. Disgusting, arrogant people - stay well clear of Imelda from the London Borough of Bromley area - evil person, evil company!!!

I used to work for them and they are terrible WARNING CONSUMERS
I used to work for Molly Maid and I completly agree with the not caring, I worked in the office and watched so much go on, inluding the employees that did not speak english. We always got complaints on cleanings that the girls did and the employer her self was not a very nice person at all, I believe the theft issue also, they had let several people go because of this reason, or not doing there job right. I will honestly say I would never recommend Molly Maid to anyone anywhere and this comes from an ex- employee. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME,MONEY, IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!

Molly Maid of Salt Lake is the worst company I have ever used ever!

The filrst time in my home they broke a one of a kind object and took it to glue it back together! With each cleaning my walls were scratched and even a piece of molding was chipped off. They broke a total of three things and tried to hid the last two without a word. They work to fast that causes damage. Their cleaning was actually good work but not worth the price of destoring my home! They do not respect your house!!

Jewelry Thieves
Molly Maids in Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo, CA stole my mother's wedding ring and a pearl necklace from me. I called countless times and they gave me the runaround about filing an insurance claim. They never paid. So I was victimized twice. Oh yeah, they are not that great at cleaning either.

Simply aweful! - never ever use their services..
If it helps at all, I have used Molly Maids service in Fargo, ND. They all start off somewhat good but with each subsequent the service jus got worse. They start off being very accommodating of you. It got to a point after 3 months I had to call suspend their services. Incidentally it was the day of their clean in my house. The Molly Maids office called and got their crew to leave my house immediately. The crew just dropped what they were doing midway and left my house. To top it all they charged me for the WHOLE service. I'm not sure what other people feel about Molly Maids, I think they are just awful!

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
my mother was in the hospital and when she got out she had a hard time getting around so I had the molly maid company come in and do housework for her and was planning on having them come biweekly...when the estimate lady came in I asked specifically for certian things ie wall cleaning, cleaning her blinds, and things of that sort. I was told that an hour and a half would be fine which would cost me around $108. So I went on my way to work and left a blank check with my mother thinking maybe I would leave a tip after the work was done depending on the iut come. When I got home later that day my mother told me the check was writte out for $180. becasue they were here for 2 and a half hours. I was fine with that until I did a walk through and and NOTHING I was told was done and nothing I'd asked for was done. They claimed they were working hard cleaning but the house looked exactly how I left it, granted 10 dishes were washed and my stove was wiped down. When I called the next day to take to the supervisor the came out and spoke to my mother and clearly saw dust where there shouldnt have been but told us that her house was in bad conditon and it would take three sessions to get it to its cleaniest potential. So I placed a stop payment on my check and will not be paying them 180. I will pay the initial 108, but what they did for 2 hours I cant figure out for the life of me, I think they took advantage of the fact my mother is in a wheel chair and couldnt monitor them like they should have been, had i known i needed to babysit I wouldnt have hired them to do something my disabled mother could have done herself. OH and as for the tip..ACTUALLY CLEAN and you will get ACTUALLY PAID..

DONT USE THERE SERVES unless you feel like babysitting them to make sure they know how to do their own JOBS!

They Don't Know How To Clean!
I had Molly Maid come to do some "special" cleaning such as cleaning corners & edges of my floors where I can't bend to reach due to medical problems. Likewise, while my sink, tub & shower stall were basically clean they needed a stronger hand to remove any grit, etc. I wanted my kitchen cupboards cleaned & polished as well as the pedestal base of my dining room table since I can not reach or bend to do it myself.

I had washed my kitchen floor the night before, it just needed the corners & edges cleaned. This was not done. They simply duplicated what I had done. The bathroom sink felt gritty to the touch, as did the shower stall and tub.

As my daughter had written out a cheque for us, payable to Molly Maid for 1 1/2 hours of cleaning as a gift, I again booked them (against my better judgment. I told them about my dissatisfaction with my prior clean. Three cleaning ladies plus the franchise owner showed up. We discussed the bad clean and I told her that I need just their general duties for an hour & a half. She asked about the extra I needed last time (extra meaning the corners and my own polishing product being used on the cupboards & furniture). I said no, just the general clean. I figured that since their motto is "We don't cut corners, we clean them" I shouldn't have to ask that corners & edges of floors be done ... big mistake! Not only did they not clean in the corners but in the bathroom they moved the laundry hamper to wash the floor and didn't move it back. When my husband moved it back there was dirt & dust bunnies. I ran my hand along the inside of the bathroom sink and could feel grit. Guess I'll have to go over it with Comet myself! sheesh!

To top it all off . they moved a chair from the living room into the foyer when they were vacuuming and scratched my hardwood floor! They say they will have someone look at it. They'd better have this repaired correctly or I will take them to court.

My experience has shown me that Molly Maid is NOT a professional cleaning service, in fact they don't know HOW to clean. If I with my medical problems can clean much better, in half the time, why would I ever again spend over $70.00 an hour for Curly, Larry & Moe to fake cleaning a house? Like Duh!

I would never have them back in my house ever again!

Don't waste your money!
These cleaners came into our home to do the initial "deep clean" and left dust and dirt all over the place! They entirely missed the basement that I specifically said I wanted cleaned, didn't clean the fridge (as they said they would), didn't clean the tv cabinet (as they said they would), didn't dust the baseboards (as they said they would) and didn't even dust the top of my alarm clock!

So, I called and had them come back. The place looked better, but there was still dust on the baseboards, the fridge was again missed, my tv cabinet still wasn't clean DESPITE ME LEAVING A NOTE SPECIFICALLY POINTING OUT THESE THINGS!

Two days later, our daughter spilt her drink, and when I wiped the floor there was a large dark handprint on the cloth ... complete with the creases from my hand! Clearly, Molly Maids didn't wash the floor either!!

When I called to complain, again, I was told that the team had spent 3 hours in my house the second time they came. "Doing WHAT?!" I asked! A total of 8 hours (supposedly!) spent in my house and a cost of $400, and my floors were still dirty, my baseboards dusty, my fridge in need of a clean, my tv and cabinet covered in finger prints, and my bank account empty!

To top it off, I then discovered one of my credit cards had gone missing from my desk. Never, ever, ever again will these people come into my home!

Not worth the money!
I was very disappointed with the services provided by Molly Maid. The workers were rushing so fast they were breaking items in my home. They broke my toilet, broke a light on my ceiling fan, scraped my counter and my garbage can. They also used my personal back scrubber to wash the tub walls. I came around the corner and one of the workes was standing on my counter washing cabinets in her street shoes. Plus they used dirty water to wash the appliances, they were streaked. The workers missed areas I was told they would clean. I have nothing positive to say about my experience and I will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone.
