DO NOT USE!!!
Multiple complaints about this company-unresolved issues after 3 months, 2 returns, twice they lost my glasses, gross imperfections in lenses. 1 pair glasses case lost, 1 damaged. Glasses are sent to India to be done, and are very crap!!! Sorry, but the people that make them are absolutely shocking if they think they can make "perfect" glasses. Will not reply to messages, e-mails, customer services hang up, won't pass you on to managers or give out contact details to complain to. Managing director has a MISERABLE excuse for a company, and his staff are awful. They all should be ASHAMED of themselves. if you want more info, contact me and I will explain everything in detail if you want-anything so that YOU DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Spend the extra, and get them done by a legitimate company. I can't convey just how unbelievably bad this company is-oh and don't trust the positive reviews.. The company has several sister companies where the exact same positive reviews crop up again and again-a sure sign that the company is writing them themselves..

absolutely awful in every respect from the measurements of frames to the finished article NEVER AGAIN,will now have to get proper pair from reputable company so ended up paying way more than i would have from my usual opticians.

Referred to trading standards
Paid £144 Lulled into false sense of security with text messages on progress of order.
Glasses did not appear.
Each time I contacted, telephone manner appalling; unable to hear the person on the other end; unable to access information on my order. Person on the other end of the phone failed to listen to my concerns.
Unprofessional service!
No customer service skills. No communication skills.
Staff will not answer questions in relation to lost order Neither can they provide a tracking number.
Outcome:
Reported to trading standards, Rogue traders and I WILL take them to court if necessary!
My only regret is that I did not find this web site before I ordered and YES I would recommend them as a COMPANY to AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The most IMPerfect Glasses Company
I ordered my glasses in July 2011 from this company. the only speedy response I had was to ask for more money for “special” lenses and I duly handed over the cash. The glasses took over a month to arrive. The specs I bought were not that much cheaper than the high street and, within weeks caused problems as the screws securing the bridge to the lenses continually came loose. As I need glasses constantly I endured and kept on tightening the screws myself. Whilst overseas one of the screws disappeared but I managed to get a friendly optician to replace that foc. Back in Blighty one of the nose pad arms detached from the bridge. Had no choice but to send these back to (Im)Perfect Glasses who declined to repair them as they declared the glasses as damaged rather than defective - before they had received them back btw. When they admitted to having received them they claimed that, because the detached nose pad arm was not with the glasses I sent back these were then declared damaged rather than defective and so no warranty applied. Convenient I guess despite the fact I packed the detached piece in the glasses case. Verdict; a bandit company who I would not recommend to anyone. They interpret consumer protection legislation to suit themselves, will only communicate by e-mail and refuse to put in write a formal letter setting out why they consider the glasses are not defective. Keep away - better stick with the high street, at least you deal with people not charlatans.

Very bad company
Each time I ring they have just received the glasses and are just about to post. I am still waiting after 10 weeks. My advice use anyone else.

What an awful company!
I bought a pair of lovely Gucci glasses and after being impressed with the website thought I would send them there to get the prescription lense put in, I sent the glasses special delivery with my prescription in the package, after emails backwards and forwards they said they have not got the prescription and they cannot give me an update with regards to the process of my order, it has been a week already, I have called them twice and they speak very back English therefore cannot understand what they are saying, I have left it now where I want a full refund including postage and my glasses returned to me by Friday this week or I am going to Trading Standards, seriously do not deal with this company the stress it has caused me was not worth it, I now wished I have paid a 'professional' company to put a lense in my glasses. What is it 'they' say...buy cheap buy twice!!!

Think twice before using this company for re-glazing.
It's a great shame, but Perfect Glasses can ruin a very good Zeiss lens with some of the worst workmanship that I have ever come across from an optical lab.
They appear to have little idea about how to fit the frame to the lens, (3 out of 4 holes were drilled in the wrong place), and when they were presentd with photo's of their shoddy work, they were not interested.
I am now sending photo's to their local trading standards office.

Avoid.

Perfect glasses , unfortunately a very imperfect service
I have to say this is one of the worst online shopping experiences I have ever had . I ordered glasses after being impressed with the website . I received a call the day after my order saying my prescription was complex so would need to pay £25 extra and my glasses would be with me in 5 daysrather than 3. I agreed to this though had never had this problem in 17 years of wearing glasses, only to check my account and see they had taken £35 . After a bit of wrangling they did refund the £10. However after that things went downhill ,when they didn t arrive at the promised time I contacted them and was told the lenses hadn t arrived yet so would be longer . As my old glasses were broken I asked to cancel the order so I could source glasses locally which I wish I had done in the first place. They then suddenly decided the lenses had arrived and the glasses had been dispatched so I couldn t have a refund ! When I contact them I constantly get the standard reply that they will be delivered in 1-2 days but they have yet to arrive and despite a request for it have failed to give me a tracking number. I am bitterly disappointed and just want my £180 back. I have taken advice from Consumer Direct as as far as I m concerned they have broken the contract.
Please think carefully before using this company and if you do I hope you have a better experience than I ve had it has caused so much stress.

I am pleased to have recieved my new varifocal glasses from them. Despite all the negative reviews that I read on the Internet, I can say that I have received excellent service from them. good quality at a fair price
My glasses finally arrived this morning. They were well packaged and I am very pleased and relieved to have them. However, I think they can be a bit more honest about the time it takes to make and send them to the customer. It saves a lot of worry and irritation if the facts are made clear from the start. I would still recommend this company.

A good review!
If I'd read the reviews that have been posted about perfectglasses then i wouldn't have chosen them for buying my glasses. however, i didn't, and i'm glad because i've had absolutely no problems at all. i would recommend perfectglasses totally. i got a great little pair of specs and for the price they are really fab, at least £50.00 cheaper than other websites/shops. they did take about 2-3 weeks to arrive, but i understand they have to made, and i'd rather them be made properly, than rushed through. please also bear in mind, people are very quick to
criticise when things are not right for them, but not so good to praise when it's all ok. so that's why i think alot of the reviews on here are not so great. and yes, i am a genuine customer!!!

Would not recommend
Placed order on basis that glasses would be dispatched in 3 days on their web site. 2 weeks later nothing received. Sent email and did get rapid response saying that glasses had 'failed quality check'. A week later glasses arrived and I was disappointed with the quality. Then when I took them off for the second time the arm broke of the lens! I did not ask for a refund as I don't need the stress having read other negative reviews.

The lenses broke and split into two while i was just sitting watching tv! What happened if it had gone into my eyes - how dangerous is that?

The screws were contantly coming loose as well and i was having to tighen them on a daily basis!.

I need to report these people to trading standards and pass them the glasses to anlayse. Worst pair of glasses I ever brought and it wasn't cheap either - over £100. Does anyone know where their trading offices are so I can report them to the relevant trading standards. Someone needs to visit them. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Avoid at all costs and go to a reputable online company!

I am not someone who likes to complain but I think it only fair to be honest about my experience with this website for others to consider. I would not recommend it to any of my friends or family. I ordered a pair of glasses back in January. Had to return the first pair as they arrived cracked in both lenses. Sent them back at my own expense. Was told the second pair they were going to send failed quality checks. FINALLY received the 3rd pair they made for me... only to have them for 12 days before they broke whilst I was wearing them. I didn't even touch them. Just cracked and fell into three pieces. I have demanded a full refund, which I have just had to fight for on the phone, refusing the offer of another pair and having to defend the fact that all I did was WEAR them for them to break. Maybe there are success stories out there but I'm afraid mine isn't one of them.

Unbelievably bad website.
I placed an order for two identical pairs of glasses. The money was deducted from my account immdediately. Then received an email, an extract of which follows:-
'I regret to inform you that we are currently unable to fulfil the order
you placed with us as we discovered that the frames you ordered, of which we had only 1 left in stock when you placed your order, are in a damaged condition and unfit for use. We sincerely request that you to browse through our website once more and choose an alternate frame of your liking of the same price, and we shall go ahead and process your order accordingly.'

I took this to mean that they had one damaged pair in stock and so couldn't complete. My reply to them :-
'Unfortunately there no alternate frames in your product range of the same price that I like. So I will have to cancel the order.'

I received a further email containing a link to another set of glasses on their website. Once again I replied asking to cancel my order and to process a refund.

To my surprise I received the following from them:-
'The order for 1 pair has been processed; we have forwarded the refund
request for the second pair of glasses the same will be done within 1-2
working days.'
An excerpt taken from my reply:-
'I state now categorically that I want no part of the order. I have informed you twice that I wish to cancel and it seems you have ignored this. I further ask that you refund any and all monies deducted from my account. '

I also phoned them and after many attempts managed to get through. Reiterated that I wanted to cancel the full order, not in part. A manager phones me back and I go through the whole process with him. It took some time to communicate my position because english was the second language of both persons I talked to. I was eventually told that a refund would be issued immediately.

A week later, I received a repeat communication telling me that a part of my order had been processed, and a partial refund would be issued for the pair they couldn't supply.

After another round of emails I receive a reply telling me that a refund request will be sent to their accounts department to process the monies deducted back to my card. All this when a week earlier I'd been assured that the refund was to be issued immedaitely.

In summary, (and in my opinion), this experience represents all thats bad about internet shopping.
1. PerfectGlasses take your money immediately without first ensuring they are in a position to fulfill the order. Any reputable online company will first process your order to check their stock, and the very best deduct from your card only when the order is ready to be despatched.
2. PerfectGlasses support is totally incapable of dealing with the most basic administration requests, both by email, and over the phone.
3. Once PerfectGlasses have your money they keep hold of it for as long as possible. I'm still waiting from mine to be refunded.
4. They mislead customers into believing they are a reputable company by posting positive reviews about themselves on sites like this.

Don't waste your time and money dealing with this company. You may be one of the lucky ones who actually receive what you order, but do you really want to put yourself into a lottery for the small saving you make.

PerfectGlasses - rotten service
If you want good service and quick delivery then DO NOT use this company. They also use false identities to post positive reviews on other websites - the company is very iffy indeed. In brief they take your money and do not deliver.
The website is great but it is a false facade, they take weeks to send orders. I pity their customer service advisors who must be drowning in complaints. Don't believe their service promises or the responses from the company if and/or when they respond. Clearly the investment in service and delivery does not match their website.

I DO NOT IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.I eventually received a broken pair after waiting four weeks (with no promised stylish box)i sent them back on the return post i have E mailed them 15 times and phoned them 8 times and had no return calls and 4 return E mails telling me they have not received my glasses back and then promising that their team is looking into it six weeks have passed and they are now ignoring me.I have bought glasses on line many times and there are excellent companies out there with first class customer service,i made the big mistake of not looking at this companies reviews because their website looks so professional(silly me)customer service does not exist here and they just do not seem interested.I gave this lot £115 of my hard earned money perhaps some of the bellow feel thats not allot but it is to me.SO MY ADVISE IS SIMPLE GO SOMEWHERE ELS YOU WILL SAVE YOURSELF ALLOT OF HASSLE.(If they do sort it out i will post an appropriate review.

i dont recommed this company i ordered a pair of non complex prescription glasses over 2 weeks ago and am still waited. On the site my delivery states either on hold or pending, no reason, have emailed loads of times, no replies phoned no help at all, said someone would phone me back or email me they didnt, i have now asked to cancel and for a refund, so that i can get some glasses else where as i need them, they advertise most people with a non complex prescription get their glasses in 3 days, thats a laugh. I would never use again, wish i never had.

Would not recommend
I have now been waiting a month for my non-complex prescription glasses. Emails are generally ignored. I've sent 3 emails, and had one response, which promised dispatch within 3-4 days - its now two weeks later.

I've left voice-mails, and have yet to have a call back. I have managed to speak to someone twice, and both times was told that my glasses would be dispatched within 2-3 days. Again - just not true.

If you want to form your own opinion - just phone them and listen to their recorded message. It sets the standard for the service to come.

Don't trust what they say. Worst company ever. Legitimate???
This is possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with. I am not convinced that they are legitimate.

I ordered a non-complex, standrad order from them which their website says would usually be disptched in 3 days. I knew this would be optimistic. After a month I demamnded my money back. Emails weren't responded to then eventually I was promised a refund for which I had to wait two weeks. They also tried sending the glasses whilst I was waiting for my refund.

They later offered me a free pair as a gesture of good will. 6 weeks later and I am still waiting despite constantly being told it will be "3-4 days".

I strongly recommend you go with someone else as the negligable price difference is not worth the hastle.
