I paid $70 for programming for my area, it was not done and I was still charged. The company refused to refund ithe money, saying I had to send the radio back, which would make it too late to give as a gift and be useless. Contacting them is flat out impossible, and all communication is vague, not really answering questions asked.

This company should be embarrassed by its service. Look elsewhere for a scanner/radio.

I purchased a uniden police scanner 3/09 and paid extra for programing,i had to send it back twice and the third time i told them to keep it my dad's b.day is long gone,i had the radio in my posestion for 5-8days and i was charged 15% restocking fee and they kept the $65doolor programing fee and the reason i sent it back 3 times was due to the lousy programing,nice scanner but save your money and have a profesional do the programing,if he/she charges you and all you hear is white noise,he forgot to program it.I sent the info to worc BBB,then they sent it to another BBB and 4 months later i got my first computer and see that the BBB closed my case and i wasent even told.too bad,so sad,tell dad.ratetas
