 Tin Lizzie 18 service problems
My wife bought the Tin Lizzie 18 in June of 2009. In about January of 2011, we had an electrical problem that was repaired under the 5 year warranty for parts by the dealer in Lubbock. So far so good. In the last week of August, 2012, the machine went dead. The dealer was backed up for weeks on repairs so we called the factory. Their phones were constantly busy. We sent emails. Then somebody advised us that the factory shuts down for vacation the last week of August. You would think somebody would have left a message on a recorder to that effect. Is this 2012 or the dark ages? Somebody finally called us late on Friday, September 7th. They left a message on the recorder -- a direct phone line for Cameron or Ernie, promising to get us going. I called back on Monday Sept. 10th. I left a phone message for Cameron. I left another message on Sept 11th. I left successive messages on Sept 12th and finally got in touch with Cameron who gave me some trouble shooting help. I did as he asked and called back. No response. I left successive messages for Cameron on Sept 12, both on his direct line and through the main company line. I used their main line yet another time the evening of Sept 12th. I got the automated system and punched the button for Adam. Glory be! Adam answered. Adam is the VP of expansion for the Southwestern US. I told him I was pretty frustrated and that their service is less than satisfactory. He didn't disagree and said Cameron would call me without fail on Sept 13. He did call and we discussed options -- whether to have the dealer do the work or send the main power box to Tin Lizzie so they could replace the power supply. I told him I would call him right back. That was a about 10 AM this morning. I did call back within minutes. It is now 5PM on the 13th and I am leaving yet another message for Cameron. this machine has been dead for 3 weeks now. At this rate, it will be Christmas before we get this machine fixed. More to follow.
