This site has potential but the designers never followed through on that potential. It has a boxy, uneven feel that could have been smoothened out. Also - what is with web design firms that insist on putting an ad on the bottom of the sites they design? Isn't the client paying you enough that you don't have to ruin the asthetic by doing this?

I wish Chicago Tribune would take a few steps back from their recent changes to the site. The old site needed speed improvements, yes, but it was categorized fine and you could always find what you wanted - fast. This new version is a messy cluster of ads everywhere with peepholes of actual content poking through sporatically.

This site is so slampacked with ads you can barely find what you're looking for after a search result appears in Google directing you here. Further more, I attempted to contact the site manager about having more targeted and less intrusive ads and was met with severe attitude and (hard to believe) profanity in the phone call.
