HughesNet service is wonderful! The installer makes the difference. Satellite Installations Specialists of Imlay City did a great job. It took 6 painstaking hours in a rain storm for them to install, but they did it and I have NEVER had trouble. I have been a customer since October- I have no other options for high speed internet- I am completely satisfied. I was worried at first because of all the negative testimonials, but even in the worst Michigan snow storms my ground/pole mounted satellite is perfect. The speed is fine, it's not Cable internet- it's close to DSL speed. I sometimes have trouble with streaming video, but I learned to accept it. The $79/month is worth it to me. The start up was painful, but just do it when you have extra money! I have mine set up on a wireless network with Macs and a PC.
