My husband and i recently visited Rona in Kelowna B.C. looking for an air conditioner. The staff there were extremly helpful and unfortunatly the air conditioner that we wanted was on sale and they had just sold last one. I asked him to check the Vernon store to see if they had one. Luckly they did. The staff member asked the Vernon store to put it on hold and we would drive there right away to pivk it up. We confirmed that it was the right one and was on sale. Upon arriving to the Vernon store, the air conditioner was there and ready to. Only problem was the girl did a oprice inquiry and it came up on sale but the manager said it was hot outside and his air conditioners were not on sale. I explained to him that we drove her from kelowna and that theirs was on sale. He pretty much told us too bad his wasnt on sale and that he was not budging on his price. He was very offensive and rude to us. After about 15 minutes of arguing with him' i told him that we were not leaving this store wothout that product and asked him if we could transfer it to kelowna and we would buy it off of them on sale. He went and consulted the girl who put it aside for us and had admitted that a mistake was made and we would have to get it on sale. He came back and still argued with us until he decided to transfer the product to kelowna and then we bought it from them. This is absoluty ridiculous I figured rona was rona. I will never shop at Rona again although thumbs up to the staff at the Kelowna location. I called another location when I got home and explained what happened and they told us that he would have had to honour kelownas sale price.
