I recently had my wallet stolen at a local Wallmart in Myrtle Beach. Even though it was caught on video, little was done to catch the thief even after filing a police report! I had to have a new bank card issued which takes up to 5 to 7 business days by mail. I drove by Pizza Hut in Surfside Beach on Bus17 around 5:30pm on Nov 16,and saw an employee holding a sign outside for 5$ pizzas. I pulled in and inquired about the pizza deal and asked if the mgr (Amanda) could take a check because my wallet had been stolen and she said they couldn't accept checks. I thanked her anyway and was getting ready to leave when she asked me how many I wanted and I said two. She said if I could wait a minute that she would get them for me and I asked her will my check be ok, and she said that no check was needed! I was amazed at the act of kindness after what indifference I have experienced with the police department and Walmart! I was devastated having lost valuable pictures of my family and everything else in my wallet, things you don't realize until later, like stamps, phone numbers forever gone, mementos from someone special,etc.! It renewed my faith in human kindness and I intend to pay it forward for someone else in the future! Amanda is an asset to this company and I most definitely will be back for the great service and great employee atmosphere I experienced there! Oh and the pizza was great as well!!!
