I cannot say enough good about the Virtual Art Academy. This has got to be the most comprehensive, in-debt online course out there. For the longest time I became increasingly frustrated by books and videos that instructed the individual on how to paint a particular cloud or tree or some other landscape/still life, yet there are no two compositions that are alike. I needed more "foundational" learning, so I went to a popular search engine and looked up "Virtual art courses" or classes, and the VAA came up. After about a month of research and reading VERY favorable independent reviews I decided to take the plunge and enrolled in the Full Course, and boy.I have NOT been disappointed! ALL of the lessons are the very building blocks I've been looking for. It's like learning an instrument, you're not taught how to play a certain song, but you learn music-theory, and other building blocks of that particular instrument. It's the same with the Virtual Art Academy, Barry teaches you the "music theory" of art, therefore after your completion of this school, you'll be able-with confidence-to paint/draw any composition you come across! If you have a problem with a particular lesson, there's the VAA online campus; whereas there are other students and artist from literally around the WORLD that'll go out of their way to help you out, and this school is at your own pace, which works extremely well for those who are may be employed and are not able to make it to an evening class, you're able to do your VAA lessons on your own time (I do mine on my smart-phone!!). Again, I cannot begin to tell you the detailed instruction you'll receive at the Virtual Art Academy. This course is far better than a lot of art schools, and for a VERY SMALL fraction of the price!
