The United States Mint

usmint.gov, www.usmint.gov, Page Rank, Website, Reviews, Related Websites, Testimonials
The United States Mint produces circulating coinage (penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half-dollar, and dollar coin) in order for the United States to conduct its trade and commerce. Currently, the mint's 50 state quarters program is better known but not more important than the fact that they mint golden dollars.

one dollar coins
No one I know will use the one dollar coin because "In God We Trust" was removed. This decision did not reflect even a small part of the population. I thought the idea was to make the coin popular and encourage use. Someone made a big mistake and violated the confidence we have in the mint.

Why advertise them and not have them for sale?

Dollar coins
Most people do not want them, particularly since "In God We Trust" was removed from the faces just to appease a few. Eliminate the copper penny or substitute a cheaper metal (or plastic) -- they aren't good for anything anyway. Never see any half-dollar coins, and they are accepted.
