ok for Restraunts but not doctors
Yelp chose to review dentists. But I posted a factual negative review of a dentist on their site and they deleted it. It was NOT deamatory or libelous. Its easy to just accept the positive reviews but if they won't allow the negative ones they are doing a disservice to the public.

Bella Mia Spa
Wow! I just had a another great experience at Bella Mia Spa in Clayton. The employees are all professional and friendly. The owner Lisa is hands-on, supportive and welcoming. I highly recommend this day spa to anyone wishing to be pampered in a beautiful, professional environment.

Great new restaurant in Vallejo
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the new Cuban restaurant next to the Empress Theater in Vallejo. The waitstaff was professional and the food phenomenal. Our appetizer took awhile to get to our table, but when it did, the wait was worth it! A cripy empanada with a spicy interior, hot and perfectly cooked. Then we had the Pollitas Asada. It came with yucca fries and collards with garlic and onions. Each portion was delicious, especially the juicy, tender chicken dish with a gently spicy sauce. The friendly owner came to our table and was interested in our observations. They even turned down the volume of the music at our request. The prices were very fair and the wine (a merlot) was excellent. I would give it a five star rating.

Masters Auto Body
I found Masters Auto Body shop 3 years ago when my CaAA adjuster recommended them because I was dissatisfied with the one my Toyoto repair service sent me to.
I couldn't believe repairing my car could be such an enjoyable experience. Eric Steeg, the manager of the family owned business, is the nicest, most conscientious collision repair specialist you could find. He was enthusiastic about finding the least expensive parts possible to save me money, interested in my family & professional life, & intense about returning the car in perfect condition. I picked up what looked like a brand new car,100% clean inside & out.

I also had the pleasure of meeting other equally friendly family members who were working at the garage then, his interesting, talkative father & sister & signed her petition for a local election.

At that time I was thinking about trading in my 2002 Toyota Corolla for a Prius &
Eric talked me into keeping the Corolla. When I walked into the garage 3 years later, the first thing Eric said to me was "Good you kept the Corolla". He remembered my profession as well as that I had a son & my daughter lived in Las Vegas. What a memory!

This time I met the receptionist Regina, who, in their unbelievably busy garage, took over much of the paper work &, after inspecting my car, said they'd fix the scratches on the other side of the car that wasn't damaged this time. She was busy, efficient, and knowledgeable about everything she too as well as being equally friendly, helpful & loved working in the never boring environment.

I saw the father again this time while waiting to pick up my car & he is still friendly & talkative, amazingly knowledgeable about cars & giving strong opinions about them too.

My car looked brand new again. There was a small bottle of unused extra paint waiting for me on the seat & the inside was 100% cleaned. Although crossing my fingers I won't have to go back, as long as I live in this area, I'd never go anywhere else.

spring down equestrian center
I have experienced the joy of being at Spring Down for almost 25 years. I boarded my horse there for 19 years and was thrilled with the care she received. Over the years I volunteered for various duties including horse shows, exercising horses, checking automatic waterers, etc. I have always marveled at the care given each and every horse, no expense spared for any medical care, be it major or minor, day or night. I have personally observed the owner of Spring Down going over the daily schedule to make sure none of her valuable horses is worked more than 2 hours on any one day. I noted in the "review" of Caroline L. of Palo Alto that she said "the horses there get worked 'like' 3-5 hours in a day" that she "would get in 'like' one jump" and that she "would get so 'confuzed' (sic)" (I think she's confuzed over the spelling of confused) and that she took lessons for five years (Query: If you think the horses are mistreated by overwork, why did YOU participate in this "mistreatment" for five years? But oh! Excuse me. I forgot. It IS really all about you, isn't it?) Also that she learned very little. I have observed very young children who have progressed further and faster in less than two years than Caroline L. in five years. Perhaps her abilities should questioned. Her coordination and attention span might be better suited to a different sport. It seems to me that the only torture the horses might be exeriencing is the quality of the rider. In any event, I think the hundreds of people who have come to Spring Down over the years and the hundred who continue to come weekly and have learned to love and enjoy horses, is testimonial enough that the Spring Down experience is a good one for the majority.

Superlative Wine Store on Ocean Ave in San Francisco
All wine lovers owe to themselves to visit Golden Gate Wine Cellars located at 2337 Ocean Ave (near West Portal). There is in my opinion no better boutique wine selections and a more knowledgeable owner (Frank Melis) anywhere in the city. An added plus is that prices are exceedingly reasonable given the quality of selections. I have become a regular customer and so too have my friends in the East Bay.

True info by fake reviewers
Yelp is a great website for obtaining info on a profusion of businesses ranging from fast food to strip clubs. However, like many open discussion boards; there is a high influx of people registering multiple accounts while posting several reviews with differing opinions on the same venue. Hence; a reviewer that has a plethoric number of friends and accolades is most likely a multi-account user...

Best Reviews
Me and my friends have been relying so much on Yelp to find good restaurants, great place for car wash, cheap place for alterations, drycleaning and a lot of other things. Very useful.
